What better way is there to welcome the chilly, winter season than with a splash of colour?
Oranges, yellows, cerise pinks and reds were balanced by gorgeous pastel blue crockery and rustic woven mats, set on the golden sands of Umdloti beach – this was our setting for our #colourmepretty styled shoot. Bron from Vanilla Photography captured the essence of the shoot perfectly.
Working with some of Durban’s top wedding professionals, we created a rainbow of bright colours. Annie, from Petals Fine Flowers, made the rustic white table top pop with her combination of colours in her quirky compot, which took centre stage amongst crisp white napkins and glass candlesticks. Smiths Bakeshop's two-tier wedding cake was beautifully dressed with cascading macaroons, orange petals and pink meringues. The cake was an artwork Pollock would be proud of - with splashes of watercolour texture. Shards of gorgeous pink sugar completed this masterpiece.
Our vision for the shoot was a relaxed, luxurious beach luncheon, a low table with plumped up white cushions. Gorgeous models were adorned in Catalisa Jewellery’s flawless jewels, while they sipped on champagne in their exquisite gowns by Laced in Love and frolicked in the warm sunset.
Bash Paperie added the finishing touches of colour with their perspex, paper and twine menus.
We hope this colourful array of celebratory cheer inspires you this winter. After all, winter in Durban is truly sublime!
